conducting a series of postures (asana) and breathing exercises (pranayama), which exert their effect on the body and mind in the body develop strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance and health, and in the mind the will, clarity, fairness, attention, concentration and inner peace, thus transforming the anxiety and stress so common in today's life, for a general welfare state, confidence and health.

About Iyengar Yoga

According to the same Prashant Iyengar, the son of the Master, "the yoga developed by BKS Iyengar, traces the spiritual by the asanas, the key feature of making oneself an object of study , at different levels of our being: body, mind, intellect, senses, attention, consciousness, emotions. The process of self-analysis of self-investigation is the hallmark of our system.

What BKS Iyengar has done is to give it a "scientific" to the asanas, the practical aspects of yoga. The asanas have been intrinsically yogic added analysis and reflection on their practices. "

Proper alignment of joints and bone structures is a fundamental element for the proper functioning of all our systems. This movement and the relationship with respect to other bones occur with minimal friction and greater articular muscular performance, preventing injury and degenerative diseases. While creating the interior space needed for a better functioning of internal organs, blood flow increases in extent and efficiency of absorption of oxygen at the cellular level, improving turn the activity of the lymphatic system, which generates greater well-being and a healthier body and balanced.

To achieve proper body alignment accuracy is required technical details, for proper positioning of each body part, which requires an increased level of care and concentration and sensitive communication very active and intense with each body part involved in the actions required.

This in turn requires a minimum time spent in each posture can be achieved technical precision required.

As a result of this the practice becomes intense , not in the sense of physical effort, but of care and mental presence that requires thorough communication with our interior, bringing the state as expressed BKS Iyengar, genuine "meditation in action, "waking up" intelligence cells "in the continuing dialogue we have with muscles, bones, joints, organs, tissues, cells and fibers during the practice of Iyengar Yoga ®.

Therefore, through a regular and steady the body becomes vibrant and dynamic, serene and calm the mind, making the practice itself, in a process of research, discovery and exploration of self, no only in the body, but in the emotional, mental and spiritual, which gives practice their authentic spiritual dimension.

classes IYENGAR ® YOGA contemplate each of the eight stages described by Patanjali, an emphasis on regular practice of two of them: asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques).

Asana (postures): health effects of which extend over the muscular, digestive, circulatory, glandular, nervous, and on other body systems.

Pranayama (breathing techniques): Comment aware of the different respiratory phases, voluntarily acting on them. Stands

A notable differentiator is the use of large amounts of media, blankets, belts, chairs, blocks, pillows, and so on, designed by master Iyengar (Guruyi) for people problems, difficulties or disabilities to perform properly and receive the profit.

A alone the use of media can, in many cases, increase the time spent in positions. Which favors more results profound and lasting.
